Beach Club Outdoor Furniture for an Italian Beach Club: A Kingmake Project

This project is a beach club in Italian Island. Our factory supplied the beach club outdoor furniture for the site. The order included rope sofas, dining sets, daybeds, sunbeds, bar sets, umbrellas and furniture covers. This page lists what was supplied and how many of each piece. It also shows how the pieces are made and how the design deals with salt air, strong sun, wind and sand. At Kingmake, every product category starts as a sample, and our parter approves it before our mass production.

Every piece stands on its own, so the club can arrange the furniture in different layouts. The table shows the quantity of each item and where it is used.

The Outdoor Furniture Pieces in Detail

Rope Sofas, Side Tables and Ottomans

This design rope sofa is a low sectional seat. A powder-coated aluminum frame forms the base, and PL rope is woven over it. Loose seat and back cushions sit on the frame. The ottoman is a small cushioned stool without a back. Guests use it as a footrest or as an extra seat. The side table stands between sofa sections and holds drinks and small items.

Each position is a separate piece. A row of sofas can become a corner group, or a small circle around a side table. This allows our project parters to set up the layout they want. The same pieces also suit a garden, a patio, a hotel or resort terrace, or any other outdoor space.

Dining Sets

A dining set is a table with chairs. The club received 50 dining sets with 185 chairs in total. The table tops are sintered stone, a flat and hard slab that is easy to wipe clean. The frames are aluminum with a powder coating. Seat cushions can be ordered in different colors.

Daybeds and Sunbeds

The daybed with curtain is double seat that works like a bed, with a thick cushion on an aluminum frame. Guests can sit on it in a group or lie down on it. And sunbed is a metal long lounger for sunbathing. The club received 48 daybeds and 68 sunbeds. Both use quick-dry cushions in a choice of colors.

Bar Sets and Umbrellas

All of the bar sets in this outdoor project are high tables with stools, made for standing or perching while guests have a drink. Sixteen bar sets were supplied. The order also included 24 umbrellas, which give shade to guests in strong sun.

Furniture Covers

The order included covers for the furniture. Covers protect the pieces when the club is closed or when bad weather is expected.

How the Pieces Work Together in a Beach Club Layout

Furniture in a beach club is usually grouped by use. Rope sofas, ottomans and side tables form lounge areas where guests sit and talk. Dining sets make up the eating area. Sunbeds, daybeds and umbrellas sit close to the sand or pool, where guests rest in the sun or shade. Bar sets give a place to stand and drink near the bar. Because all pieces are separate and share the same materials, the club can move them between areas as the season changes.

Materials and Construction

The materials were chosen for a site with salt air, sun and daily use. The table shows each part, what it is made of, and why it suits a beach.

How the Furniture Is Made

Beach club outdoor furniture goes through several steps before it leaves the factory. Here is what happens at each step.

1. Cutting and Forming the Aluminum Tubes

The frames start as 6063 aluminum tubes. 6063 is an extrusion grade with good corrosion resistance, and it is widely used for outdoor furniture. The tubes are cut to length and bent where the design needs a curve. Cut ends are cleaned so the joints fit closely. A close fit leaves fewer gaps for sand and salt water.

2. Welding and Weld Finishing

The tubes are joined by full welding, not just by screws. A full weld goes all the way around the joint, so it carries load better under daily use. After welding, staff grind the weld seams smooth. Smooth seams matter for two reasons. Coating covers them evenly, and there are no rough spots to catch sand or scratch guests. Welds are then checked by eye and by hand pressure before the frame moves on.

3. Pretreatment and Powder Coating

Coating only holds well on a clean surface, so the frame is prepared first. It is degreased, rinsed and given a conversion coating, a thin chemical layer that helps the powder stick and slows corrosion under the paint. The frame is then dried.

Dry paint powder is sprayed on with an electrostatic gun. The powder carries an electric charge, so it clings to the metal and reaches corners evenly. The frame goes into an oven, where the powder melts and cures into a hard layer. A typical outdoor coating is about 60–80 μm thick and cures at about 180–200 °C. The coating is UV-stable, so color holds up better in strong sun.

4. PL Rope Weaving

PL rope is a synthetic rope made for outdoor use. It does not soak up water like natural fiber. Workers weave the rope over the coated aluminum frame to form the sides and backs of the sofas. The rope must be pulled to an even tension. If it is too loose, it sags after guests sit down. If it is too tight, it can pull the pattern out of shape. Rope ends are fixed out of sight, so guests do not touch them. The open weave keeps the piece light and lets air pass through.

5. Cushion Cutting and Sewing

Sunbrella fabric is cut to pattern and sewn into covers. The color is added to the acrylic fiber before it is spun, so it fades slowly in sunlight. Seams are sewn with piping for a clean edge. Anti-slip strips are sewn on the underside, so cushions stay in place on windy days. The covers are removable and washable.

Inside each cover is quick-dry foam. Its open structure lets water drain out. A mesh backing helps air move through, which reduces damp and bad smells.

6. Sintered Stone Table Tops

Sintered stone is made by pressing mineral powders under high pressure and firing them at very high heat, above 1,200 °C. The result is a dense, flat slab with very few pores. Water and stains do not soak in easily, and the surface handles heat and light scratches well. Slab edges are cut and finished before the top is fitted to the aluminum frame of the dining table.

7. Assembly, Hardware and Final Check

Screws and fittings are 316 stainless steel. Sets are assembled, checked for wobble and level, and then packed. Before packing, each piece is inspected for coating flaws, loose rope, cushion fit and stable feet.

Quality Checks During Production

Challenges of a Beach Site and How the Furniture Handles Them

A beach club is a hard place for furniture. The six problems below were considered in the design and in the care advice given to the club.

Salt Air and Corrosion

Salt spray attacks aluminum joints, screws and welds. Aluminum does not form red rust like plain steel, but it can still corrode over time, mostly at connection points, where it shows white powder or small pits. The frames use 6063 aluminum with a full powder coating. Screws and fittings are 316 stainless steel, which resists salt better than plain steel. Staff should rinse the furniture with fresh water on a regular basis.

Strong Sun and Fading

Strong sun fades cushions, rope and powder coating, so colors can look old fast. The cushions use solution-dyed acrylic fabric (Sunbrella), and the frames use UV-stable powder coating. Light colors and breathable, open weaves also help reduce heat and fading.

Wind and Sudden Gusts

Beach clubs are open and windy. Light chairs and loungers can blow over or slide. Low designs with weighted bases or heavy feet stay steadier. Tie-down points let staff fix pieces in place. Furniture can also be stored or stacked before a storm.

Sand and Grit Damage

Sand gets into joints, scratches surfaces and blocks moving parts. Smooth, sealed joints with fewer gaps give sand fewer places to collect. Ground weld seams help here too. Rinsing with fresh water helps. Mats or platforms under the furniture reduce sand build-up.

Damp Cushions and Mold

Rain, sea air and wet guests keep cushions damp, and mold and bad smells can follow. Quick-dry foam and a mesh backing let water drain and air move. The covers are removable and washable. When cushions are not in use, they can be stored indoors or in dry boxes.

Heavy Daily Use

Guests move, drop and drag furniture. Welds can break, frames can bend and parts can loosen. Commercial-grade aluminum furniture with full welding and a strong structure handles this better. Stackable and modular pieces are easier to move and replace. A stock of spare parts and a simple weekly check stop small problems from growing.

Project Timeline

The project ran for 45 days. The order was large, so Kingmake made samples first and started bulk production only after the client approved them.

Results and Warranty

The furniture carries a 3-year warranty. No complaints have been recorded under the warranty so far. After all the furniture are , we really appreciated our client sent a positive review and feedback photos of the furniture in use.
