The powder-coated frame carries a matte terracotta finish that does not need yearly repainting or oiling, unlike untreated wood left outdoors. Cushions use waterproof foam in a standard or quick-dry version, wrapped in an olefin fabric cover offered in different colors, and round bolster pillows can be placed at either end to mark a seating side or a lying-down side. A small attached side table on some units holds drinks or a book within reach.
